In Honor of MLK, Jr.’s Birthday

Martin Luther King, Jr. (1929-1968) was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964. He was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee, on April 4, 1968. In 1983, the third Monday in January was designated a legal holiday in the U.S. to celebrate his birthday.
