“We walk on starry fields of white
And do not see the daisies;
For blessings common in our sight
We rarely offer praises.”
from Ella Wheeler Wilcox, “Thanksgiving“
As I’ve mentioned before, the Academy of American Poets has a great resource called “Teach This Poem” on their website. I include this poem and this suggested lesson this week because before the holiday, things are just too busy in a lot of classrooms, and also– we should always find a way to gratitude and grace.
I hope you find both today and every day.
