There are altogether too many “national days/months” to recount in September, it seems. The list starts to read like a recipe:
Honey, Italian Cheese, Mushrooms, Potato, Rice, Whole Grains, Blueberry Popsicles, and Better Breakfast Month
Of course, my curious foodie brain got puzzling about what I could create from this strange grocery list, and, with the exception of the blueberry popsicles (those are a thing?), I think I could, in fact, make a “better breakfast” out of most of the list!
I started to imagine such things as ricotta on whole grain toast with a drizzle of honey, or a pan-fried side dish of potatoes and mushrooms topped with cheese, and then there’s a cheesy risotto option…but those popsicles? Well, there’s always one odd item on any grocery list, isn’t there?
Have a good day, and please, let me know if you have any really good ideas on how to incorporate the popsicles!
Enjoy “The King’s Breakfast” by A. A. Milne, as read by Julie Andrews and her daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton!
Keep well, and happy creating!
