July 22 is National Hammock Day!

Hammocks. To be suspended between two trees, enjoying the sunshine, cozy with a book– sure sounds pretty nice, doesn’t it? Or even a hammock in a metal frame, with a cold glass of lemonade and a ballgame on the radio.

Favorite poet Shel Silverstein wrote a lovely little poem titled, “Hammock,” in which the child in question has a great gift — a new hammock– but there’s a small problem of moving trees…!
