James Allen Hall Wins 2020 Four Way Books Levis Prize in Poetry

The Frost Place would like to extend their congratulations to former Conference on Poetry faculty member James Allen Hall, whose collection Romantic Comedy was selected as the winner of the 2020 Four Way Books Levis Prize in Poetry. The collection was chosen by poet Diane Seuss.

Hall directs the Rose O’Neill Literary House at Washington College where he also teaches and serves as editor of Cherry Tree: A National Literary Journal.  His first book, Now You’re the Enemy, won awards from the Lambda Literary Foundation, the Texas Institute of Letters, and the Southern Fellowship of Writers. Hall has received many fellowships, including ones from the National Endowment for the Arts and the University of Arizona Poetry Center, among others. His more recent work has appeared in New England Review and Ploughshares, and in several other publications.
