The Friends of Marlborough Public Library will present “An Evening of Frost,” featuring Stephen Collins, at 7 p.m. Sept. 28 at 35 W. Main St., Marlborough.
“An Evening of Frost” is an interactive performance that begins with a brief biographical sketch of the Robert Frost’s life including his formative years on the Derry Farm, his three years in England and his long teaching career at Amherst College. The remainder of the program will be a recitation and analysis of six of his poems including “Mending Wall,” “Birches,” “After Apple Picking,” “A Tuft of Flowers,” “Acquainted with the Night” and “Desert Places.”
The performance will close with a reading of Frost’s use of blank verse in “The Death of the Hired Man.”
