Patrick Donnelly and Stephen D. Miller Win Donald Keene Prize for Translation

Patrick Donnelly and Stephen D. Miller’s co-translations of Japanese poems in The Wind from Vulture Peak: The Buddhification of Japanese Waka in the Heian Period (Cornell East Asia Series, 2013) have been awarded the 2015-2016 Japan-U.S. Friendship Commission Prize for the Translation of Japanese Literature by the Donald Keene Center of Japanese Culture at Columbia University. On Thursday, December 11th, at 5:30 PM, there will be an awards ceremony and reception at C. V. Starr East Asian Library, Main Reading Room,300 Kent Hall, Columbia University, 1140 Amsterdam Avenue, NY, NY 10027 (116th Street and Amsterdam Avenue).
